When wires attack.
I spent a big chunk of yesterday moving my 5.1 home theater system from my bedroom to my living room to hook up to the TV I got a few weeks ago. Lessons learned? It’s all about wire management. There’s really nothing harder to manage in any electronics move than a home theater system. Computers are easy. Most of their cords are about 3 feet. Speaker wire is in excess of 10-15′ and you really have to be careful with the ends unless you have a wire stripper on hand (which I don’t).
The back of my entertainment center now looks like machine city in The Matrix. Part of me wants to get some cable ties and clean it up. The other part of me doesn’t want to spend another weekend afternoon fixing an area that largely goes unseen by the world.
